Can you help to make Aldcliffe Hall Drive a public right of way?

9 August 2017

Have you walked, run or cycled up Aldcliffe Hall Drive over the last twenty years or more? This is the road with bollards at the top that runs from the southern end of Aldcliffe Road, Lancaster, up the hill, past the small new housing estate to the village of Aldcliffe. We are gathering evidence, on behalf of Aldcliffe-with-Stodday Parish Council, to try to establish this quarter of a mile of private road as a public right of way (restricted byway). Demonstrating that the route has been used by the public continuously and without restriction for more than twenty years will be evidence that the route should be added by the Lancashire County Council to its ‘definitive map’ of public rights of way.
