Rally for proportional representation, Saturday 19th August, Manchester

There will be a rally for Proportional Representation in Manchester outside the Town Hall, at 12:30 on Saturday the 19th of August.

Thanks to the initiative of local democracy activists, and with support from Make Votes Matter, this will be the first rally of its kind outside London since the AV Referendum in 2011.

This will be a fun, family-friendly event with music, banners and stalls as well as the option to dress up as a suffragist to commemorate the Peterloo Massacre. Hear from speakers including former Green Party leader, Natalie Bennett, and former Liberal Democrat MP and MEP, Chris Davies, about how we can build a better democracy.
