Easy Peasy Vegan Squeezie Cookery Class - Saturday 14th October

19 September 2017

Want to: Cook more healthily? Reduce your carbon footprint? Tackle
Speciesism? Go Vegan? Learn / expand your plant based recipes and skills? Or
just have a fun social?
Join the N Lancs fundraiser Vegan Cookery Class. Member Mark Westcombe has
kindly offered to pass on his expertise in making delicious plant-based
meals. Mark’s cooking is based in the plant-based traditions of the
Neapolitan region of Italy where he lived for many years. He mostly uses
simple and inexpensive ingredients that are available from Single Step or
other local shops.

The class will teach a group of 8 people in a Green Party member’s home, on
Saturday 14th October 2017, 2 – 6 p.m.  You will prepare 6 dishes, which
you’ll eat together; gain lots of new skills and tips for a healthy
plant-based diet; and take away a recipe handout. (Bring your own alcoholic
or non-alcoholic drinks to share).

Suggested donation is £35pp (down to £20pp for those on low incomes). If you
wish to book, please contact mailto:emilyheath@phonecoop.coop and we’ll send
you full details.

Emily, who took Mark’s class last November, says “I highly recommend this as
a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours - and it might just transform your
life. Mark is a great teacher and you will want to make these meals
yourself, again and again! A plant-based diet is better for the planet and
your health as well as for animal welfare, so this is a great opportunity to
be inspired by wonderful vegan food in a friendly setting.”
