Bailrigg Garden Village - Council Drop-In Events

6 October 2017

Lancaster City Council wants to allow 3,500 new homes to be built on countryside between Scotforth and Galgate (a proposal which they’re calling a ‘garden village’ and we’re calling ‘urban sprawl’!)

The council's regeneration team is leading on work to design a concept plan for how it should be laid out and structured. This will involve looking at and gathering information on many issues including drainage, flood risk, providing for sustainable travel, habitats and wildlife.

Over the next month they're holding a series of drop-in events to give people the opportunity to have some input. Please go along and have your say.
