There was an impressive set of wins for the Greens on 3 May, with breakthroughs onto several additional new Councils across England, including Burnley, Trafford and Knowsley here in the NW. We also held seats in Wirral, Liverpool and many other areas, despite Labour pouring lots of resources into trying to get rid of our hard-working Green Councillors.
We now have 173 Green Councillors on 68 different Councils. Overall we gained 20 seats (mostly from Conservatives) and lost 12 seats (mostly to Labour), resulting in a net gain of 8 seats. More results here:
