All the results from the Lancaster City Council elections held on Thursday 2 May are now in.  We targeted 4 wards in Lancaster and hoped to get 10 councillors (out of a total of 60) elected.

And we were successful!

Bulk ward (3 seats)

Lucie Carrington (1,055 votes - new councillor)

Tim Hamilton-Cox (1,199 - retained his seat)

Caroline Jackson (1,196 - retained her seat)

Castle ward (2 seats)

Dave Brookes (1,003 votes - retained his seat)

Paul Stubbins (851 votes - is a new councillor)

Marsh ward (2 seats)

Gina Dowding (1,174 votes - returning to the Cty Council having done her first stint in 1999-2007)

Mandy Bannon (1,109 - new councillor)

Scotforth West ward (3 seats)

Tim Dant (1,303 votes - new councillor)

Abi Mills (1,488 votes - retains her seat)

Joanna Young (1,319 votes - new councillor)

The final tally for each party is:

Labour - 21

Morecambe Bay Independents - 14

Conservatives - 12

Green - 10

Lib Dem - 3

Full results are on the Lancaster City Council website. Great to see Greens coming a close second in John O Gaunt and University & Scotforth Rural wards too.

Thank you to everyone who helped with the election - acting as target, paper or cardboard candidates, election agents, delivering leaflets, prooting the Greens via social media, knocking on doors, putting up posters, telling at the polling stations, running the office on election day, etc., etc.  None of this would have been possible without your input and help.
