We support the global climate strike

11 September 2019

The 20-27 September will be a week of global action on climate change including a strike for the climate on Friday 20 September.

Green Party members Emily Heath and Rosie Mills will speak at a public meeting about preparing for the strike, on Thursday 12 September in The Storey (Music Room), 7-9 pm. Everyone is welcome to come with ideas and practical suggestions of how we can build the maximum action for the day.

Rosie is a founder member of Lancaster Youth For Environment (LYFE), and Emily will be speaking on behalf of the Green Party and as secretary of the University and College Union at Lancaster University.

Emily is also leading a campaign for Lancaster University to declare and respond to the climate emergency. If you haven't already signed the petition, and especially if you have links with the University as a past, present or future student or staff member, please sign here. More comments would be great too!

Please join our strike for the climate! There is no Planet B.
