Photo of Jamie MellyNorth Lancashire Green Party is delighted to announce Jamie Melly is standing for the Greens in Lancaster East in the County elections on 6 May. Jamie will be a fantastic, hardworking councillor for the area.

A message from Jamie:

"I grew up in this area, was born on Primrose Street and have lived in Bowerham most of my life. I set up my own business as a translator, and I read contracts and legal documents every day, so there's not much that escapes me when it comes to details. That's a great help to local residents when it comes to objecting to unwanted planning permission or just making sense of council processes. It's been a challenging year for all of us and like a lot of you, I think it's time for a fresh start in how we do politics."

Some of you might have seen Jamie delivering Green Views or met him when he came to meet residents concerned about new developments near their homes.

Although it's not been easy this last year, he's been listening to residents who get in touch and keeping them up to date, as well as reporting the odd pothole or some old mattress dumped next to a community centre!

So please give him your vote! And message us if you would like a poster!
