After a campaign launched by Green Councillors Abi Mills and Gina Dowding earlier this year, the slippery flagstones on the south side access to the Millennium Bridge have been replace with with less-slippery paving blocks. The previous paving had resulted in a number of accidents to cyclists and pedestrians in frosty weather, including a broken hip.Cllr Abi said:
"I'm delighted that the City Council has taken action to remove a serious accident blackspot."
