Emergency centre in South Lancaster - can you help?

19 February 2018

Cllr Abi Mills, with some local residents, is hoping to put in place plans to use Scotforth St Paul’s Church Hall as an Emergency Centre. This will be used in situations when members of the public may need to go somewhere in an emergency, e.g. if there is a power cut or flooding in the area.

We have already put in a funding bid to cover the costs of converting the electrics in the hall to be able to be used with a generator, generator hire for a period of time and bits and pieces of Emergency equipment.

We now need a few more people to get involved in the group. It isn’t an onerous task, we have already done the time-consuming bits, we just need people who are prepared to be part of the Emergency Centre team if and when needed.

Please get in contact with Abi if you are interested and would like further details.  mailto:amills@lancaster.gov.uk
