North Lancashire Green Party calls for a ceasefire in Gaza, an end to actions in breach of International law, the unconditional return of hostages, the opening up of humanitarian aid, and an end to the mass civilian deaths in Palestine.
There is no military solution. International pressure must be increased for a long-term solution based on equality, that ends the occupation and offers peace and security to Palestinians and Israelis alike.
The Gaza ceasefire call has the backing of the United Nations, humanitarian aid agencies, growing numbers of countries - including Ireland and France - and three quarters of the British public.
Antisemitism is unacceptable. Islamophobia is unacceptable. We stand in solidarity with both Jewish and Muslim communities at a time when events in the Middle East and media narratives are stoking up tensions between these communities in the UK.
