"I am so incredibly proud of this by-election campaign and I’m over-the-moon that we increased the Green vote share to 65%. I poured everything into this campaign, taking on the role of campaign manager, and I am so proud of myself for rising to the challenge. It’s been an intense few weeks and I’m so happy to see our hard work pay off!
Of course, I didn’t do it alone though and I want to thank everyone for their hard work these past few months. It wasn’t easy to campaign at this time of year, with cold weather, dark evenings and the beloved Lancaster rain. I really appreciate everyone who gave their time and energy to help get me elected.
Thank you to all of the Lancaster Young Greens for your endless help and support – I am so lucky to know you are always in my corner. I am excited to be joining Tom Fish, Hamish Mills and Grace Russell on Council - together we are the largest group of Young Green councillors in the country!
Thank you to the entire behind-the-scenes campaign team, those who endorsed me and every person who helped door-knock, stuff envelopes, deliver leaflets and letters or sit at polling stations – there are far too many to name.
Thank you to all my friends and family for supporting me and for putting up with me talking way too much about local politics and campaigning!
A special thank you to Dave and Paul for being such amazing councillors – this win is testament to your hard work over the years and I can’t wait to work alongside you both.
Finally, thank you to everyone that voted for me. I look forward to working hard to represent all Castle residents."
