Rosie Mills

Rosie has always been passionate about making the world a better place!  She has been involved in the Green Party since she was a young child, especially enjoying the community events like the Christmas Green Fair.

In 2019, Rosie created a petition and collected over 1500 signatures asking Lancaster City Council to declare a climate emergency.  Along with a motion, this triggered a debate at a City Council meeting. Following this, a climate emergency was successfully declared, and Rosie cofounded Lancaster Youth For Environment (LYFE) where she was elected as its first coordinator.  LYFE organised strikes, litter picks and workshops, all whilst building a strong community of passionate environmentally minded young people.

As a candidate for the European elections in 2019, Rosie dived right into understanding Green Party policy and its impact on a wider scale.  She cares deeply about the working with others to create change.

Rosie was a Lower Lune Valley Ward Candidate for Lancaster City Council in 2023.

Become A Green Friend

Our movement is growing. We need as many people on board as possible to change the nature of politics in England and Wales.

Did you know that you don't have to become a member to help us build fairer greener communities? We are inviting everyone to become a Green Friend, because you don’t have to be a member of the Green Party to show you care about politics and the planet.
