Joanna has lived in the area for seven years and is very active in the community. She is Chair of Governors at Bowerham School, Chair of Trustees (and a volunteer) at the Morecambe Bay Foodbank, a Trustee of the George Fox Educational Charity and she is mum to three children.
Joanna is passionate about standing up for all residents, and especially those living in poverty in our district, ensuring that their voices are heard.
Joanna Young represented Scotforth South West on Lancaster City Council 2021 - 2023. Joanna was our Candidate for Heysham Central ward in the 2023 elections. Having loved visiting Heysham for many years, Joanna and her family moved to the area from Lancaster and were very excited about joining a new community and enjoying the amazing sunsets!
