Get Involved

There has never been a better time to get involved with the work of the Green Party.

Come to an Event

The North Lancashire Green Party holds regular meetings, socials, and discussions. Some are for members only, others are open to all.

As this website gradually gets updated, we hope to add an events calendar to this website as we had on the old one.

Meanwhile, for more information on upcoming events, please contact Emily at emilyheath@phonecoop.coop.

Or come along to a ‘Green Drinks’ and ask there what events we have coming up. You’ll be made very welcome.

Join The Green Party

Join the Green Party of England and Wales who will notify us of your membership so we can include you in our local party communications. Every member can propose and vote on Green Party policies and candidates.

  • Standard Rate – £60 annually or £5 monthly
  • Reduced Rate – £13 annually
  • Concessionary Rate – £6 annually

Don’t want to be a member, or can’t because you are a member of another political party? Become a Green Friend:

  • Support the Green Party with a monthly donation, so that we can tackle the climate crisis together
  • Get exclusive access to events with high profile speakers and leading Greens
  • Receive a monthly publication and discounted offers

Volunteer

There are lots of volunteer roles which help to make our local party work effectively. For example, do you have fundraising experience, or media, research and administrative skills? Could you help deliver leaflets to your street or coordinate deliveries across a ward, or go out with our campaign team and speak to local residents?

Whatever your level of experience and however much time you can give, we would love to hear from you.

Contact us at emilyheath@phonecoop.coop and we will be happy to discuss potential roles that would suit your interests, skills and time availability. We always welcome supporters and volunteers.

Donate or fundraise

Go to our Donations and Fundraising Page to see a range of easy ways to donate, whether as a one-off or as a regular contribution, and / or also how to get involved with fundraising.

Stand to be a Councillor

Might you be interested in becoming a Green Councillor on Lancaster City Council, Wyre Council, Lancashire County Council, or your Parish/Town Council if there is one where you live? We can offer lots of support to target candidates to help them to win.

We also need people to stand as candidates in non-target areas – giving everyone the choice to vote Green.

Candidates must be paid-up members of the Green Party and support its main aims and policies.

Please contact Gina Dowding ginadowding@icloud.com if you would like to find out more.
