Come to an Event

The North Lancashire Green Party holds regular meetings, socials, and discussions. Some are for members only, others are open to all. For more information on upcoming events, please contact Emily at emilyheath@phonecoop.coop.

Green Mondays

Our ‘Green Drinks’ socials are moving to the first Monday of each month (no longer on Thursdays!). They will still be in The Borough (Dalton Square) from 8pm, and open to all Green Party supporters and friends.

But for the next few months, in addition to Green socials, there will be campaigning activities every Monday to get involved with. Every session will be relaxed and welcoming, and we particularly encourage new people to come along. We will always campaign together in small groups and we will unwind with a drink afterwards whenever possible. All members and supporters are welcome – we hope to see you there!

On Mondays and weekends throughout March and April we will be offering other opportunities to meet fellow Green Party supporters and get involved in helping with our County Council election campaign in various ways.

Further details about each event and how to sign up will be released closer to the time.

Volunteering

County Council Elections 2025

We are confident we can more than quadruple our number of County Councillors in 2025. We’ll be targeting several divisions including some new rural areas, and also attempting to breakthrough in Wyre.  In order to more than quadruple our number of County Councillors this year, we need to reach full capacity of volunteer roles, so we are on a recruitment drive!

Winning won’t be possible without delivering many thousands of leaflets and knocking on thousands of doors, and without the organisational support of other important roles in each of the 4 divisions we are targeting – including volunteer coordination, data input and management, and volunteer hosting or catering for action days. You can see a list of them here – hopefully you can find something that floats your boat!

Interested in joining our team? To let us know which role you’d like to know more about – Fill in this form – and we’ll email you with more information about the role and the next steps to getting involved.

Ongoing Volunteer Roles

In addition to the election campaign roles covered above, there are many other volunteer roles which help to make our local party work effectively.

Whatever your level of experience and however much time you can give, we would love to hear from you.

We will be happy to discuss potential roles that would suit your interests, skills and time availability.

Contact us at emilyheath@phonecoop.coop.

We always welcome supporters and volunteers.

Donate or fundraise

Go to our Donations and Fundraising Page to see a range of easy ways to donate, whether as a one-off or as a regular contribution, and / or also how to get involved with fundraising.

Stand to be a Councillor

Might you be interested in becoming a Green Councillor on Lancaster City Council, Wyre Council, Lancashire County Council, or your Parish/Town Council if there is one where you live? We can offer lots of support to target candidates to help them to win.

We also need people to stand as candidates in non-target areas – giving everyone the choice to vote Green.

Candidates must be paid-up members of the Green Party and support its main aims and policies.

Please contact Gina Dowding ginadowding@icloud.com if you would like to find out more.
