Nick Wilkinson

Nick has spent the last 10 years living and working in Lancaster.  He has strong connections with the local community, including being Director on Lancaster’s Business Improvement District (BID) from 2019 – 2023.

He is married with two young children (4 and 6 years old) and works in the city centre, striving to provide good quality accommodation for small businesses and local residents. He has been trying to tackle the tricky challenge of how to make old buildings  – including those in Conservation Areas – more sustainable and energy efficient.

Nick has a strong desire to help our local community, particularly through making improvements to the urban environment and transport systems.

Nick was a Lancaster City Councillor from 2015 – 2019 for Castle ward. In 2023 he was re-elected, this time representing Marsh ward,  and sits on the cabinet, holding the portfolio for Regeneration and the Local Economy (Lancaster). This includes regeneration, skills and digital innovation, the Canal Quarter, BIDs, high streets, jobs and skills.
