Lancaster City Council: North Lancashire Green Party has 22 City Councillors representing 10 different City Council wards: Bowerham, Bulk, Castle, Ellel, Halton-with-Aughton and Kellet, John O’Gaunt, Marsh, Scotforth West, University and Warton. We do regular print newsletters for these wards, and occasional ones for the Lancaster District or for across North Lancashire.
Wyre Council: We do not yet have any Councillors. If you’d like to help us change that, please get involved!
Lancashire County Council: We have one County Councillor representing the county division Lancaster Central.

Lancaster City Council
Cabinet Members
- Caroline Jackson – Deputy Leader of the Council, Housing. This includes private sector and social housing, caravan and traveller sites, refugee and asylum seeker housing, as well as household support and resilience, and tackling homelessness.
- Tim Hamilton-Cox – Finance. This includes the strategic control of financial resources, procurement and fair trade, revenues and benefits, and ICT.
- Paul Stubbins – Climate Emergency. This includes flood prevention, low carbon energy generation and energy conservation, climate emergency response, retrofitting and electrification, EV charging and active travel (implementation and monitoring).
- Nick Wilkinson – Economic Development. This includes regeneration, skills and digital innovation, the Canal Quarter, BIDs, high streets, jobs and skills.

Gina Dowding
Among the first Greens elected as City Councillors in 1999. Retired as a councillor in May 2007 but stood again in May 2019 and was elected for Marsh ward.
Gina was Cabinet member with the portfolio for the Climate Emergency and Deputy Leader of the Green and Independant Group of Councillors until July 2024. She is being replaced from August to November by Paul Stubbins as Cabinet Member and by Paul Tynan as Deputy Leader of the Green and Independant Group of Councillors.
